Mrs. Daniel Peregory, Mrs. Joe Peregory accompanied by Mrs. Missy Bragg and Ms. Effie Thompson of Culpeper and Mrs. Ruth Peregory of Front Royal spent last Friday and Saturday in Strasburg, Pa. where they attended the showing of “Behold The Lamb” at the new Sight and Sound Theater and “ A Journey of Love” Abraham and Sarah, at the Living Waters Theater.

They spent Friday night at the Amish Lantern Motel and on Saturday, toured the ChoChoo Barn, the Strasburg Railroad, The Red Caboose and gift shops. They reported an enjoyable time as they returned home late Saturday night. The wonderful shows are well worth anyone’s time to see.

Our condolences are extended to Mr. Gregg Heflin and family upon the loss of his sister, Karen who passed away at her home in Warrenton on Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Mike Cave attended the birthday party for Amber Dodson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Dodson at their home in Sperryville last Sunday afternoon.

Our prayers continue for our friends, Dr. and Mrs. Wayne Thompson, who are on a preaching mission to Romania.

Joel Peregory returned to his home last Friday, following surgery and several days stay in Fauquier Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Dodson of Salem Way had their son, Marc, a student at James Madison University, home with them during last weekend.

We extend sincere sympathy to the family of Miss Gertrude D. Lewis, 84, of Stonehouse House Mountain Road, who passed away Friday, March 31. She was a retired school teacher and this writer was one of her students at Salem School in bygone days.

Misses Kendra Hitt and Jennifer Peregory and her mother, Mrs. Janet Peregory were shoppers in Warrenton on a recent Sunday afternoon.

Michael W. Frazier recently visited his cousin, John Lillis in Fredericksburg.

Jennifer Peregory was a recent Friday overnight guest of the Mills sisters, Shirley, Rebecca and Mary and their parents.

Belated wedding anniversary wishes go out to cousin Harry and Shirley Racey who celebrated another year last Monday.

Congratulations to Timothy Webb, son of Mr. Everettee Webb of Castleton Way, whose engagement to Miss Jennifer Lynn Beach of Madison has been announced.

Ray Wharton of Castleton Ford Road and Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Vance and son, Trent are on vacation, touring the Grand Canyons in Arizona and other places of interest in California.
