Steven Coban, 31, was observed driving erratically by Dep. Mark Currence on Rt. 522 near Flint Hill.
Upon stopping Coban’s vehicle, it was determined that he was impaired.
Burglary reported
A person or persons entered a private residence on Mountain View Road near Flint Hill on April 7 between 7:30 a.m. and noon, removing a VCR, a portable radio and a jacket.
Access to the home was gained by breaking a sliding glass door. The burglary is being investigated by Dep. Connie Compton.
Crime repeated
The Rappahannock County Sheriff's Office is investigating a broken window at Wakefield Country Day School at Huntly. The damage was reported at about 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 9.
Over the past year, windows at the school have been broken several times, resulting in increased law enforcement patrols after dark.
“This damage may have happened during the day,” according to Sherertz. Dep. Anthony Berry is the investigating officer. Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at (540) 675-3331.
