Sam Vanneman
Friend to many
Sam Vanneman, son, brother, husband, uncle, father and dear friend to many, went on (as he would say) “to the next level” on April 6.
He is survived by his wife, Cherry; his son, Sam; his mother, Sibyl; his brother, Alan; his sisters, Vickers and Catherine and an extended family of life-long friends.
Following a private burial, a celebration of Sam’s life was held on April 7 at the Blue Moon Cafe in Sperryville. In the shared tradition of the monthly dinners held for a decade at the Vanneman family home in Culpeper and countless gatherings in Rappahannock County, where Sam lived for years, the celebration at Blue Moon was a potluck.
For anyone desiring to give an expression of sympathy, the family believes Sam’s wish would be the Southwest Indian Foundation, RO. Box 86, Gallup, N.M. 87302-0001, in the name of Strong Like Bull.

William John Coffman, 86, of Front Royal died Tuesday, April 4 at Heritage Hall Health and Rehab Center in Front Royal.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, April 8 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Front Royal with Rev. Robert Jones officiating.
