• Our very own RCHS Principal Mr. Jack Raines recently had the honor of traveling to New Orleans to introduce nationally acclaimed teacher trainer and professional development expert Dr. Harry Wong. He also made a brief presentation at the Association of Supervisors and Curriculum Development Educators Conference in New Orleans. Over 14,000 people attended the conference. Way to go, Mr. Raines! (For those of you who don’t know, Mr. Raines is on of Dr. Wong’s greatest fans and loves to talk shout him and his philosophy, anytime, to anyone!)

• Kindergarten Registration went very well at RCES last week. In all, over 60 children took advantage of the early registration opportunity! In keeping with past years, all children who registered appear to be brilliant, of course!

• Our sympathy is extended to Assistant Superintendent Mrs. Mary Anne Biggs and her husband, Joseph, on the recent death of Mr. Biggs’ mother. She was an educator for many years and enjoyed work as a library volunteer in her retirement.

• RCHS Biology teacher Mrs. Patti Waddell reported that T. J. Ketchem, a former RCHS student, was a recent guest speaker in the Science
