On Monday, May 7 the Town of Washington will sponsor a visit by Mr. David Edwards, Head of the Winchester Office of the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Historic Resources. Mr. Edwards will conduct a walking tour beginning at 5 p.m. at the Town Hall to discuss the wonderful architectural heritage of the Town.

That will be followed by a potluck dinner at the Town Hall from approximately 6 to 7 p.m. After the dinner Mr. Edwards will discuss the role of the Department of Historic Resources and the meaning of the Town’s designation as an Historic District.

Croquet Classic

at Gray Ghost

Join Gray Ghost Winery for a day of Victorian fun! Gray Ghost will host its first Croquet Classic on Saturday, May 5 with festivities beginning promptly at 11 a.m.

Interested players must contact the winery to make reservations: space is limited. Entrance fee to play is $25 per person and includes the games, Croquet Classic T-shirt, Gray Ghost logo glass and a glass of Wine. Reservations may be made for a box lunch or bring a picnic.
