Bob Etchells, local builder and artisan, just got back from the annual D.C. Home and Garden show, where he was showing off one of his new, finely handcrafted portable outbuildings to enthusiastic showgoers.
Mr. Etchells, a master craftsman with years of experience building unique homes and doing fine joinery in many heavy timber projects, is founder and lead artisan of Outbuilding America, a small group of skilled artisans making very distinctive, finely crafted, heirloom quality outbuildings. You can custom order these outbuildings and have them delivered to your property. Mr. Etchells was kind enough to take a few minutes at the Home and Garden Show to talk to the Rappahannock News.
What brought you to start a business making these ruggedly artistic, traditional looking portable outbuildings?
