Harvey French Smoot, 90, of Washington. Va., died Sunday, April 15, 2001 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Smoot was born February 20, 1911 in Washington, Va.. son of the late George Thomas and Ktta Bea French Smoot. He was a retired farm manager, having managed several farms in the Rappahannock County (Washington) area. He was a member of the Washington Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife. Cordia Ann Updike Smoot; four sons: William Russell Smoot, Sr., of South Carolina, Bunnie Shelton Smoot of Maryland, Raymond Lester Smoot of Sperryville, Va., and Johnny Lee Smoot, Sr., of Edinburg, Va.; and five
