Continuing the northsouth route, another bond was floated for a macadamized road from the Covington River to Sperryville. Three bridges were built over the Thornton River in Sperryville to replace fords used by travelers and the tannery there. Then, yet another bond was issued, this time for a macadamized road from Sperryville to Woodville.
