• Here’s hoping that you enjoyed Volunteer Recognition Week, and that all of you hard-working, selfless volunteers are feeling duly appreciated as you should.
• Speaking of hard-working, selfless volunteers, the Rappahannock Lions Club is in the midst of planning and accepting donations for their annual Spring Auction. Almost anything is appropriate from gift certificates to jewelry to furniture. Please no clothing, mattresses, food or broken appliances. The Lions use the money they raise from their many efforts to fund a multitude of community projects. The public schools have benefited time and time again.
The Lions conduct their Sight and Hearing Clinic at our schools each year, they hfeve supported the RCES Book Buddies remediation program, they recently funded dug-outs for the new athletic fields behind RCES, they sponsor the Bland !Music Competition for our Icounty’s youth each winter, [they sponsor a scholarship |for an RCHS graduate each jspring and so much more.
