Lions Club plan auction
The Rappahannock Lions Club will hold their annual auction on Saturday, May 12 at 6 p.m. at the Washington fire hall. If you have items to donate, please call Henry B. Wood at 9873301; Joel Daczewitz, 987-8395; Bob Metcalfe, 675-3897; Carson Johnson, 987-8720 or Roger Andrews at 987-8974.
Bicycles, furniture, tools, oil paintings, guns and hunting supplies and much more has already been donated and additional merchandise is arriving daily for the auction. A special auction item includes a red 1982 Kawasaki GPZ 750. All donations will be greatly appreciated.
Moonlight Hike of Old Rag
The next Ragged Mountain Resource Center Moonlight Hike will be on Saturday, May 5. Interested participants may meet at the upper parking lot on the Nethers side between 7:30-8 p.m. Bring layered clothing and nourishment for self. Return time is uncertain, but likely around or after midnight. If it is overcast or raining, the hike will not take place. If camping is a consideration, be sure to allow time for set up.
