to offer
scholarship
The Rappahannock County Garden club will once again offer the Francis J. Leonard Memorial Scholarship to a senior in Rappahannock County for the purpose of continuing his or her education.
A grant of $1,500 will be awarded to a student enrolling in a four year college or university, $1,000 will be given the first year and $500 in the second year.
An applicant must be a resident of Rappahannock County, a member of this year’s graduating class (home-schooled or other schools) be accepted at an accredited four year school, have a need for financial assistance and be recommended by three non-relative residents of Rappahannock County.
Applications for the grant are available at the guidance department of the Rappahannock County High School or from Mrs. Irvin R, Kilby at 987-8741.
