Linda Chavez who served as President Reagan’s White House Director of Public Liaison and director of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights will speak at the fourth annual Reagan Day dinner hosted by the Rappahannock County Republican Committee.
The dinner will be held on Saturday, May 12 at the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Hall beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The dinner is served potluck-style and free to the public. Tickets are required in advance and may be ordered by calling Walter or Susan Longyear at 675-3679.
Mr. Longyear, Chairman of the Rappahannock County Republican Committee stated, “It is an honor and privilege to have Linda Chavez visit Rappahannock County to speak at our dinner. I encourage everyone to attend.”
Linda Chavez writes for many publications including the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and Reader’s Digest. She makes regular appearances on "Nightline,” “The McLaughlin Group”, CNN & Company”, “Equal Time”and “The News Hour with Jim \Lehrer”.
