U-8 “Slime Time,” sponsored by White Oak Veterinary, played back to back games against two Madison teams on Saturday, April 28. Both matches were very physical with many goal to goal sprints and breakaways by both teams.
The Rapp 2, U-8 “Green Dragons” displayed superior sportsmanship skills against the Madison 4 team.
Rapp 2 , U-10 “Demons,” played against Orange 3 on • the RCES field, with Orange defeating 3 - 1. “Mr. Nick’s” U10’s, sponsored by John 'Debergh, played Mr. Lohr’s -Madison 3 team and played ^exceedingly well despite the ;Madison team’s size. Madison -defeated Rapp 5 - 0. Our Girls :;±M0, sponsored by Better I’Homes Realty, lost to Orange ;«-i. ■*', Emma Dodd-Henze played ^forward scoring the goal for •* Rappahannock. Kara Corbin ‘.played outstanding goalie.
The U-12 “Firebirds” traveled to Culpeper to take on /Culpeper 2 at Emerald Hill. Both teams were evenly matched and the first 'half ended with a score of 0-0.
The second half was as exciting as the first but it was Culpeper wearing down the defense of the Firebirds that changed the game.
Culpeper scored three unanswered goals late in the second half and that put the win for Culpeper. Final score: Firebirds 0 Culpeper 3. Go Go Go Firebirds!
The U-14 Boys team played Culpeper 2 at RCHS with a great victory win of 41! Way to go U-14!
The U-14 Girls team, “Lightning Bolts,” sponsored by Sunnyside Farms, displayed a valiant effort against the girls Front Royal team with a close ending score of Rapp- 4 - Front Royal 5.
