Track
The track teams traveled to Brentsville on Wednesday, April 25 for a Tri-Meet with Brentsville and Clarke County High Schools. It was tough competition as Brentsville Girl’s team and Clarke’s Boy’s Team are candidates for Single “A” State Team honors.
The Clarke County boy won the meet and the Brentsville girls did the same with theirs. In both cases, the RCHS teams finished last, but again there were some special performances.
On the boy’s side, sophomore Zach Bridgeman finished first in the 400 meter dash and senior, B.J. Christian finished first in the shot put.The boys were RCHS boys that placed were:

The Girls’ team was led by freshman “phenom” Ryisha Cook and the workhorse of the girls’ varsity, junior Jessica Nawrocki. Nawrocki placed in four events, but it was the show stealing Cook that got the attention.
Although the Lady Panther squad came in third, that didn’t stop Cook from doing her thing. She came in first in the 100m dash, 200m dash, and the long jump — not bad for a freshman at a varsity competition. Her unbeaten streak in the 100m dash remains unbroken at five meets - this one, against some pretty good competition.
