years and could use some help. Why should only a few in our communities carry the burden of responsibility for serving everyone else, sometimes with the criticism of those who don’t volunteer?
Volunteers have families, friends and hobbies, they would love to spend more time on these too. Most of their time is spent training, responding to calls, cleaning equipment and maintaining
fall in this same category.
If certain activities have the potential to offend our neighbors, it is not an undue burden to carry them out in as non-intrusive a way as possible. Tb snidely suggest — as I have heard some people say — that the other folks should close their windows and curtains misses the point which is to try to get along with our neighbors and respect their needs too.
I urge the Board to broaden their approach when they take up these discussions in January and to give Rappahannock’s citizens a more comprehensive solution to a sensitive problem so that we all might keep our security and enjoy our privacy and the County’s beautiful night skies.
