• With the buzz of the holidays in the air, it’s hard to keep the students focused on their schoolwork, but try we must. Exams are coming up the week of Dec. 17, so all of the students are busy reviewing this semester’s work.

• The Christmas program, held last Thursday evening, was a smashing success. Nothing can compete with young children’s voices as they harmonize! With accompaniment from Mrs. Lorraine Espinola, Miss Mary Yates, and Miss Audrey Speer, and under the direction of Mrs. Evelyn Oyster, the children in grades Kindergarten through seventh sang hymns and carols representing countries around the world.

Students Alex Shafran, Chance Beatty, and teacher Mr. Tony Lambiasi were featured as soloists.

• Prior to the Christmas program, Sarah’s Supper was held. Over two hundred and fifty parents, students, and teachers were served dinner by the staff and volunteers of the school. What a wonderful way to spend an evening! As has happened in the past, parents met new families and caught up with other parents that they’d not seen in a long time. The purpose of the supper has always been to have a specific time for everyone to get together and relax. Thank you to all of the volunteers!
