Mr. O.A. Norton, Superintendent of Schools and Mr. Maurice O’Bannon, member of the Rappahannock School Board, recommended to the Supervisors of Rappahannock County at their regular December meeting, that Rappahannock County contribute $5,000 toward the establishment of a Junior Regional College near Madison.
Miss Barbara Jones, a native of Pennsylvania has accepted the position of Home Agent for Rappahannock County, effective Jan. 16, 1962. She will make her home in an apartment of Judge and Mrs. R.V. Snead.
Interest is reviving in the locating of an industry in this county. The Rappahannock Industrial Committee will meet Dec. 11 at the Flint Hill fire hall.
The annual Christmas Round Dance will be held at Sperryville School auditorium on Dec. 22 with the Solid Senders of Winchester furnishing the music. Admission is $1.50 and proceeds go to the P.T.A.

Perfect attendance for meetings of the Amissville Homemakers Club last year were Alice Lawrence, Mary Priest and Irma Holmes. The club has been organized for 19 years and Mrs. Lawrence has 13 years perfect attendance while Mrs. Priest has 15.
