Trout Unlimited meeting set
The public is invited to hear Steve Reeser, District Fisheries Biologist, Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, discuss “The 2001 Virginia Wild Trout Stream Creel Survey Results and Implications,” at the next meeting of the Northern Shenandoah Valley Chapter, Trout Unlimited. This program will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12 in the Youth Center, located at the northeast comer of US 522, Commerce Avenue and East 8th Street, Front Royal.
The Chapter charter includes a four-county area, all of Page, Shenandoah and Warren counties, and the northwestern part of Rappahannock County. Call Bud Brune at 6753183 for additional information about this program and Trout Unlimited.
Shooting match slated
The Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Company is currently sponsoring a shooting match on Friday nights beginning at 7 p.m. Rules are 12 gauge shotguns; 25 yard shooting range; no scopes, no sleeves and 36 inch barrel maximum length.
