The home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Peregory and children was the setting for a surprise birthday party last Saturday to honor Johnny Bragg for his “Over the Hill”, 40th birthday on Tuesday. He was showered with many gifts, wishes, lots of food and one of Knakals Bakery’s delicious, all decorated in his favorite scenes, the sport of baseball.
Those attending and enjoying the celebration with him were: Joel, Kenny and Heidi Peregory of Catlett, Farina Moore of Centreville, Charles Wharton of Woodville, Mrs. Effie Thompson of Jeffersonton, D.J. Frye of Washington, Mrs. Lucille, Bill and Ruth Peregory of Front Royal, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bragg and family of Ben Venue, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Compton of Rixeyville and Victoria and Samantha, Rev, and Mrs. Jim Pittman and sons, Bo and Seth of Amissville, Mrs. Johnny Bragg, Kellie, Karla, Matthew and Mark of Culpeper.

Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Gladys Moorehead Harbaugh. She Avas 89 and a member of Salem Regular Baptist Church in Berryville. We send our condolences to her family and her church family.
