Thelma Jean Scroggins, 58, of Amissville died Sunday, Dec. 9 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
She was horn Sept. 26. 1918 in Culpeper to the late Henrv Phillips and Nettie Miller Phillips.
Mrs. Scroggins is survived by her husband of 34 years, Eugene Carl Scroggins Jr. of Amissville and four children, Linda Sue Stover and her husband. Wayne and Eugene C. Scroggins III and his wife. Crystal, all of Amissville, Robert Phillip Scroggins and his wife, Tina of Hagerstown, Md. and Betty Jean Milbourne and her husband. David of Rixevville.
Additional survivors include two sisters, Virginia Blankenship of Culpeper and Linda Frazier of Amissville; a brother, Harold Phillips of Shenandoah and ten grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by three sisters, Peggy Cooper, Annabel le Edwards and Geraldine Cooper and three brothers, Homer Phillips. Buck Henry Phillips and Herbert Phillips.
The family will receive friends Wednesday. Dec. 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel. 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will he held Thursday, Dec. 13. at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Chapel with Pastor Charles Shifflett and Pastor Josh Shifflett officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery.
