This honor places Matt among the top two percent of all students who take the Merit Scholarship examination throughout the United States.
“The Rappahannock Scholars Program is one of the many initiatives currently under way at RCHS to promote academic, athletic, and social excellence,” stated Mr. Perine. “The next school year will see the addition of nine new courses and an increased emphasis on providing our students with the skills that they need to be competitive and successful in their chosen fields after graduation,” he added. “Next year, we hope to double the number of Scholars at the high school as testimony to the strength of our student body and the commitment of our staff in the pursuit of quality and distinction in education.”
