volleyball for seniors ... just the tears as it all sunk in and senior Jessica Nawrocki walked slowly out to her car and left for the last time.
One post-season highlight of note in volleyball is that junior Rachel Sharp just missed being named as the Bull Run District iBRD> plaver-of-the-year. She was named to the All-BRD Volleyball First Team — the only junior on that team.
Senior Jessica Nawrocki was named to the Second Team. The player of the year was senior Kristie Burton from Clarke County.
Wrestling

On Saturday, Feb. 16 the second year wrestling program traveled to Brentsville District High School for the Bull Run District Wrestling Tournament. Everything Head Coach Jim Wells has done up to this point has been geared to develop a team that could compete in this tournament.
The Bull Run District wrestling programs are not your “mothers Oldsmobile.” The number one, two, and three teams in the District are the number one, two, and three teams in the state. That’s where they finished last year, that's where they’re ranked this year and that’s probably where they will finish this year.
This is the toughest wrestling in the state - single “A” - bar none. So now you get the picture at what our team faced as they took a very successful season into the tournament. Seven teams with nearly 800 wrestlers in 14 weight classes competed at Brentsville for District glory
