Feb. 10-16 was National Child Passenger Safety Week. Not only during this week but year round, the Rappahannock County Health Department and the Rappahannock Sheriff’s Office encourages parents and care givers to buckle up their children, on every ride, and to educate children about safety in and around motor vehicles.

Motor vehicle injury' is one of the leading killers of children more than one year of age. Whether as occupants in motor vehicles, pedestrians, or bicyclist, too many children are seriously injured or killed in preventable crashes.
