Want to own your own home, but don’t qualify for a loan with a bank or mortgage institution? The USDA, Rural Development could be your solution.

Section 502 loans are offered through a network of field offices to very low and low-income people living in rural areas that lack adequate housing and are unable to obtain loans through other available sources at reasonable rates and terms.

These loans may be used to finance 100 percent (no down payment > of the lesser of the cost or appraised value to buy or build homes based on the applicant’s household needs.

Applicants must demonstrate satisfactory credit history and repayment capacity to qualify. Subsidy of interest is available based on adjusted annual income of the household.
