The Maryland Racing Commission has cut way back on purses overall this year, and the Pimlico leg of the series is in jeopardy of losing its $100,000 purse funding. However, NSA assistant racing secretary Mary Tfeter said the series would certainly be held, and another site found to host the second leg, if necessary. “There are several places it could go,” Teter said.
