On Saturday. Jan 26 Rappahannock band students performed »in the Tri-County band concert. Band students from Rappahannock. Fauquier and Clarke Counties get together every year and form one band, hence the name TriCounty Band.
Students are nominated, by band director, from both the high school and middle school bands. Rappahannock students selected this year were: Holly Long, Josh McArthur, Lea Pvne, Jenni Starr, Erin Opseth, Brian Taylor, Alexander Neil-Dore, Samantha Brown, Anthony Clinedinst. Frances Monroe, Luke Wilson, Kerri Moore, Amber Long, Osha Kondori, Billy Rechin, Alana Cloud, Bailey Batchelor, Kim Hutchenson, Owen Monroe, Clay Vickers, and Amanda Frye.
On Friday, Jan. 25 the students traveled to Liberty High School in Bealeton. where they rehearsed until 5 p.m. with other band students from Fauquier and Clarke. On Saturday, they returned to Liberty for morning rehearsals followed by a free concert in the afternoon for parents and the community.
This was a remarkable opportunity for the all the band students to meet with other counties' band students. All the students in attendance had an outstanding time. Spring fruit sale to

Band students will be again taking orders for their delicious Valencia oranges and red grapefruits, and Honey tangerines, fresh from Florida!
Orders will be taken up until Feb 26. The fruit will arrive the second week of March. If you would like to place an order (and can't find any band student to order from) call Sallv Havstad at 987-9342.
