Kudos to Mrs. Sally Havstad, right, for serving as chairwoman of the Rappahannock County Garden Club’s Green’s.Sale for eight years. A special appreciation gift was presented to Mrs. Havstad by president Mrs. Mary Revercomb at the club's monthly meeting. The annual December sale is the club's main fund-raiser. This year the club made 109 wreaths, 29 door decorations, 21 centerpieces, and 209 feet of garland, all from greens that the club members cut locally. The funds raised sponsor young people attending the state Nature Camp as well as scholarships to county students.
