Mr. Perine was immediately placed on administrative leave, and will remain in that status until June 30 of this year.
Dr. Gangel also said that Assistant Principal Mike Tupper assumed the principal duties as of May 6, on an acting basis, and that he will continue in that role through the end of the school year. He will be assisted on a consulting basis, Dr. Gangel said, by individuals in the school system who have secondary school administration experience.
