Special to the Rappahannock News

Mark your calendars for this year s Culpeper-MadisonRappahannock Farm Fair Tuesday, July 9 through Sunday, July 14 at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises! Besides moving the Fair date two weeks forward, there will be many changes in the schedule of events to boot!

For months 4-H and FFA members have been attending meeting/classes in preparation for their 2002 Fair Project. Many livestock members have picked out their animals, or will be getting them in the near future. But, if you thought the C-M-R Farm Fair was only about horses, cows, sheep, pigs, goats, and chickens, think again.

While the majority of 4-H and FFA members exhibit livestock, there are many other clubs such as: gardening, sports, community service, etc. We are planning to have many of these other clubs on hand for demonstrations this year, as well as farmers, businesses, crafters, clubs, and other organizations from the tri-county al-ea.

New activities for this year will include: llama demonstrations, petting zoo, commercial displays, Share the Fun presentations, crafters, Smokey Bear visit, commercial vendors, pickin’ party, 100th
