By Bob Lander Special to the Rappahannock News On Thursday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m., at the Washington Fire House, 15th District Delegate to the Virginia House of Delegates, Allen L. Louderback, will meet with citizens of Rappahannock County. This informal, public meeting will be "democracy in action". After his remarks about the 2002 Virginia General Assembly Session, Del. Louderback will take questions and provide comments on passed and pending legislation regarding the budget, taxes, education, agriculture, environment, highways, development and other topics of interest to the attendees. This is an opportunity to discuss concerns about important issues to the local community's future as a result of the House and Senate bills considered by the General Assembly. ; This was Delegate Louderback's first time directly representing Rappahannockers having been elected just last November as delegate from the newly formed 15th District that now includes Rappahannock County. Del. Louderback is quite familiar with the general area and the issues associated with it. He served two terms on the Page County Board of Supervisors before being elected as a delegate for the area in 1999 and he resides in Luray. In the House of Delegates, he serves on the Finance; Militia; Police and Public Safety and Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources Committees. Delegate Louderback reported weekly in his column in the Rappahannock News on the activities of the House. Attendees will be able to get clarification and more details about the topics that he presented and discuss the effect on the County of passed legislation.
