al bank chain gobbled up our bank two years ago; at the time, we had one of the last independent banks in the whole Commonwealth.
There's a rumor that the Post Office might move out to the mall too. Wouldn't that be something! What kind of village would it be without a bank or a Post Office? Why will people need go to town anymore except to get their county sticker or dog tags, or to attend public meetings like the Board of Supervisors or Planning Commission? Well, yes, there's the cafe and some nice shops., but they'll all lose local business and have to rely even more on the tourist trade.
