Bag sale this Friday
There will be a special bag sale this Friday. May 10 at the Washington Thrift Shop from 9 a m. to 4 p.m. Bags will cost $5 each and buyers will be able to fill the bags with their choice of items.
The Thrift Shop must vacate their current premises by the end of this month, and as of now. they have no where to set up shop. Anyone with ideas or space to rent should stop by the shop on Wednesday or Fnday.
PIT) meeting planned
At the RCES PTO meeting on May 10. RCES and RCHS Band members will be on hand to perform for those gathered and to demonstrate individual instruments for students interested in joining Band next year. This will follow a potluck dinner, everyone's invited, at the Rappahannock Elementary School cafeteria. Dinner will be 6 p.m. followed by a short meeting and Band Program at 7 p.m. Bring a friend, a dish to share and join the fun.
Headwaters' directors to meet
The May board of directors meeting for Headwaters, the Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation, will take place Monday, May 13 at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Extension Office. The meeting is open to the public.
Services Board to meet
The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board and the Area Agency on Aging will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday. May 14 at 1 p.m. at 15361 Bradford Road. Individuals with disabilities who require special assistance to attend and participate in this meeting should contact Paula Benenson at 825-3100. extension 3146 or 825-7391 (TDD).
