Rappahannock County Middle and High School was represented by 12 students at the recent Technology Student Association’s State Leadership Conference held in Richmond.
Students competed in various contests testing their ability to design, solve problems and show knowledge gained during the school year.
At the middle school level. Clay Vickers was fourth in the state in digital photography and was a finalist in computer applications.
Several teams won trophies at the high school level. In a new contest to RCHS, Lauren Herbert and Jenny Ferdetta became the state champions in SciVis contest. They gave an executive presentation of computer animation developed using four different software programs.
The Cyberspace Pursuit team of Morgan Blubaugh, Jason Simeon, and Alex Sitorious created a web page for the chapter along with solutions to a design brief. Their efforts won third in the state.
