me ru-,r,o sponsors a Book Exchange each year on DARE Day. Parent Deborah Flournoy coordinates this effort which is thoroughly enjoyed by our children each year. This is a great opportunity for parents and children to go through their books at home and donate gently used ones for others to read. There will be a collection box in the main lobby of RCES from May 15-31 for donated books. Please stop by and drop off yours. On DARE Day children will have the opportunity to choose books to take home for a small donation of 10 cents or 25 cents per book. Thanks for anything you can do to support this project.
' • The RCES Relay for Life Team has managed to get four ‘volunteer’ staff members to agree to get “A Pie in the Face” on DARE Day. Custodian Robert Lamery, Sixth Grade teacher Jimmy Swindler, RCES Principal Raye Tupper and Schools Superintendent Dr. David Gangel are all vying for ‘votes’ to get creamed (no pun intended) on May 31. The one collecting the most monetary votes before the Relay for Life will be the winner (or loser, depending upon how you look at it!). There are jars at each school to collect your votes.
