Special to the Rappahannock News

The Rappahannock Youth Soccer League played its fifth weekend of games, Saturday, May 4.

U-8

The U-8 Blue Panthers traveled to Madison for the second weekend in a row. The Panther’s found themselves at a 3 -0 deficit until Maria Lee and Haley Hogan scored four goals to show some Panther pride. Once again, Madison and Rappahannock had good spirited fun and sportsmanship.

U-10

The U-10 girls, Rapp Hurricanes, won 3-0, in a tougher than expected, physical match with Culpeper. Isabelle Eastham knocked in the first goal to give us a 1-0 lead at halftime. Sarah Hazel and Katherine Huang were great throughout the first half providing pressure up front and connecting on passes to teammates. Morgan Flournoy came out of goal in the second half to score twice and seal the victory.
