nosed. Some survivors will not make it all around the track and everyone understands. For all of the participants, it is wonderful to see how many survivors there are and to know that their numbers are growing because survival rates are getting better. For all of the survivors, it is wonderful to see the dedication of so many people willing to give their time and money to help win the battle against cancer.
Cancer survivors should contact Carolyn Leake at 635-2073 to receive a registration form. Or they can just come to the survivors’ table before 6:30 p.m. to register. Please encourage all of the survivors you know to come and walk the victory lap.
Cancer survivors as well as others less fortunate who have had cancer will also be honored by luminaries (votive candles in paper bags with sand). Completed bags will be available for contributors to place around the parking lot area themselves if they want to on the day of the event. Or, they will be placed by volunteers once the event begins. In either case, luminaries will line the Relay track at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. The lighting ceremony will begin
