Patton Wilson was invited to participate in a landmark touring exhibition of contemporary painters working in the medium of egg tempera. The exhibit, titled, “Egg Tempera, An Enduring Tradition” was organized by independent curator, Diane Savino.

Artists and paintings were selected for their contributions to the current resurgence of egg tempera as a viable medium of contemporary expression. Egg tempera is a painting medium believed to have originated during Greek civilization.

It was used extensively during the Italian Renaissance in the 14th century. It was gradually replaced by oil paints in the 15th century.
