A benefit dinner, dance and silent auction for the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. at the Windrush Farm, Flint Hill.

for Sharp Rock
The 2001 vintages of Sharp Rock Vineyards continue to gamer medals at wine competitions all over the country.
The 2001 Cabernet Franc extended its winning streak in July (it won a silver at the Virginia Governor’s Cup in June). It was awarded a silver medal at the Atlanta International Wine Summit (over 2000 entries), another silver at the Virginia Vinifera Association competition (243 Virginia wines), and a bronze at the Indiana International competition (over 3000 entries).
Also at the Indy the 2001 Chardonnay Resen/e won a silver medal. At the International Eastern Wine competition in May (2000 entries) the 2001 Chardonnay won a silver and the Chardonnay Reserve won a bronze.
All Sharp Rock wines are made exclusively with grapes grown in their Rappahannock County vineyards located approximately eight miles south of Sperryville, just off Route 231.
