The Theatre at Washington has just released its schedule of performances for the fall season, which runs from September through December.

The opener for the season sees the return of two celebrated jazz guitarists from New York, Gene Bertoncini and Frank Vignola, on Sept. 21. Two further jazz performances will come up later in the season. The witty and gifted pianist John Eaton returns to the Theatre in October, followed in November by "Brazilian Nights,” in which the Joe Byrd Quintet plays a musical tribute to Joe s brother, the late Charlie Byrd. Many of the Brazilian melodies to be heard were brought to the U.S. by Charlie Byrd during his long career.

Chamber music lovers will have to wait until November to hear the first in the new season of performances in the Smithsonian at Little Washington series - a concert titled "Music from the Court of Louis XIV." On a Sunday afternoon later in November, Grammy
