Bereavement
support
group to
meet Sept 16
A bereavement support group is being formed to offer anyone in the community who has experienced the death of a loved one or friend an opportunity to deal with grief related issues and Rappahannock residents are invited to attend.
The group provides people in grief with information on the mourning process and invites them to heal by working through their thoughts and feelings. The group is a closed group, meaning that after the first session newcomers would be asked to form another group.
The bereavement support group is sponsored by FamilyCare Home Health and Hospice, an affiliate of Culpeper Regional Hospital. Dick Guizar, M.Ed., is a trained bereavement therapist having served in the field of bereavement for more than 30 years.
The group begins Monday, Sept. 16 and will run each Monday except Oct. 8, which is a Tuesday. Please allow one and one half hours for each session, with starting time at 11:30. The setting for each session is the Community Room at Culpeper County Library, 271 Southgate Shopping Center.
