A few incidents of note took place during the past week. Aug. 19 saw the arrest by Deputy Robert Fincham of Shawn C. Cayce from Dale City on charges of driving on a suspended license and driving under the influence. Tires intentionally flattened which constitutes auto tampering took place in Chester Gap and Deputy James Welch is continuing the investigation.
Two accidents occurred, one involving a deer and the other was another motorcycle accident on the mountain between Sperryville and Luray.
Deputy Jeff Breeden is investigating a grand larceny. A diamond ring was reported stolen on Aug. 25 from a home in Amissville.
