I spotted a handsome old scythe and asked about it. Although not for sale, Mr. Sullivan is keeping his eyes open for vintage garden tools and accessories. One find is an old brass and glass tea trolley that could be a lovely plant stand for a sunroom or an enclosed porch.
Of course, there are plants for sale, propagated by Mrs. LeKander in her greenhouse. Mr. Sullivan is particularly impressed with a redveined pale green caladium in the store.
There are some orchids, including Blackberry Lily, or belamcanda, streptocarpus, variegated hydrangeas, jasminum sambac (the one used for fragrance and tea) and culinary herbs. The herbs will be carried year round, and seasonal plants such as lilies and poinsettias will be offered, too. The plant selection will be expanded and Mrs. LeKander will grow plants by request if customers cannot find what they need. Any plant can be potted up on the spot in one of the pretty ceramic pots, making a perfect gift.
