Both Mrs. LeKander and Mr. Sullivan are eager to please their customers, with their preference for local patronage of the store. They are happy to special order products, deliver plants in the Sperryville area, open by appointment and, will entertain customer’s suggestions.

On the counter are cards, imprinted with some of Mrs. LeKander’s favorite recipes, gratis for people looking for new ways to cook with garden herbs and vegetables. Another thoughtful service giveaway is the plant liner, designed to protect car interiors from the inevitable dirt that comes along with plant shopping. The liners are printed with useful garden information. If anyone is interested in having a small garden installed, the store team will do that, too.

Mr. Sullivan, a dyed-in-the wool New Englander, doesn’t waste any words about his and Mrs. LeKander’s ambitions, “We want to be the best we can be and we want to enjoy ourselves!”

Ann’s Mountain Garden is located at 47 Main Street in Sperryville and will host a Grand Opening on Labor Day weekend. The store is open Thursday through Monday, 10-5, and will be open earlier during spring planting season. The store's phone number is 987-9182.
