summers ever since tenth grade. This year was no exception. She said, “My parents wanted me to learn the value of money.” She agrees with her parents that “you’re never going to learn things if you don’t do them yourself.”
Last year she learned about the pitfalls of procrastination. This procrastinator with a heavy load stressed and took it out on everything, including her family. She said she never had any fun and she worried all the time. She’s incredulous that her parents put up with her.
Somewhere midway through the year, she gave herself a good talking to and settled down. She said, “Everything turned out okay and my parents still love me.” So far her procrastinator days seem over. She was all packed for school a week in advance!
Holly is heading for the University of New Haven (UNH) in Connecticut with a double major in Forensic Science and Pre Med. There are only nine universities in the United States which offer a major in forensic science, and UNH is considered the top school.
She won the highest scholarship UNH awards, a half-tuition scholarship which is dependent on consistent good grades. That means maintaining a 3.1 average.
Her schedule is already overloaded with the 19 semester hours required for forensic science majors. And she plans to work, and continue with her French Horn studies. She thinks it’s possible* that the French Horn
