She’s excited and easily admits to a bit of nervousness. Perhaps in order of importance she mentioned looking forward to "learning all the ‘new stuff*, meeting new people and living in the city.” (UNH is right in the city of New Haven.)
What will she miss? Holly will miss her sister Amber. She’d love to see her as she goes through high school. Amber is in eighth grade, and the night before Holly left for school, Amber went through orientation at the high school. They’re completely opposite according to Holly. Amber is laid back, into sports, and doesn’t strive to do well, she just does. “She rolls more easily than I do.”
And Holly will miss her friends. Rereading her farewell speech to the 2002 graduating class, she found herself admitting, “I’m going to miss it.”
