Cub Scouting to begin new year

With the start of school comes a new year for Cub Scouting. On Sept. 5 starting at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Elementary School, Cub Scout Pack 123 will begin registration of returning and new scouts for its 2002-2003 season. Jenkins ’ plan reu nion

The family of the late Aubrey R. and Ellen Baker Jenkins will hold their reunion on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 1:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Park on US 211 near Washington. All family members and friends are invited and reminded to wear something patriotic. “Please bring a covered dish and come out for a day of good food, fun, games and prizes,” said an organizer. The annual family reunion of the late Henry T. Whorton and Lillie M. Cloud Whorton will be held at the Rappahannock Park near Washington on Saturday, Sept. 7. Family and friends are invited to come and bring along a picnic lunch.

Clinic will be open Sept. 4

The Rappahannock Free Clinic, a local operation of the Fauquier Free Clinic Inc., is currently open on the first, third and fifth Weanesdays of each month. The clinic will be open Wednesday, Sept. 4 and not again until Sept. 18. Patient registration is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Public Health Department Building.
