that even Mr. Hagstrom himself is a “carpet bagger:, since very few people I know who were bom here use the phrase “Little Washington”. Or perhaps a “carpet bagger” is someone who went shopping for a district which had a vulnerable incumbent? Well, when Ben Jones moved to Rappahannock County, we were part of the 10th congressional district, represented by long time incumbent Frank Wolf, one of the least vulnerable congressmen I know. In fact it was the Republican controlled House of Delegates which moved Rappahannock County into the 7th congressional district.
In the next few weeks we will be presented with similar charges, as the campaign heats up. Recognize them for what they are, an attempt to keep you from knowing Ben Jones. You can change that. Ask him yourself. After all he lives here.
