Foxfield, Virginia Fall and Morven Park, with the rich $20,000 championship Oct. 19 International Gold Cup.

The next stop on the fall tour is Charlottesville for the 25th annual Foxfield Races. An ODTC race is on the card along with other races over hurdles and over timber. There will also be Jack Russell terrier and mule races.

Racing returns to Glenwood Park for the twoday Virginia Fall Races Oct. 5 and 6. New this year, the Virginia Fall Races are VSAsanctioned, not NSA. The $10,000 Chronicle Cup over timber is Saturday's feature,

Sunday's Virginia Fall meet is preceded by the finals of the North American Field Hunter Championships. There will also be a field masters' chase over hunt country.

The Oct. 12 Morven Park Races mark their 23rd year. Another excellent viewing course, featured is the Sam Rogers Memorial timber for $10,000 and a foxhunters’ chase for amateur riders.

Action moves to The Plains for the Oct. 19 International Gold Cup races. Eight races are carded, with the $45,000 eponymous timber stakes Virginia's richest fall race.

The 68th annual Montpelier Races in Orange County close the season Nov. 2, with seven races on the flat and over hurdles.
