The letter by Paul Hagstrom
published in the Sept. 12 issue of Rappahannock News was one of the most vicious, hurtful letters to the editor I have read in a long time. It was hurtful to all citizens whose loyalty and dedication to this great country of ours is questioned because they tend to vote Democratic.
We are not a fanatic fringe group on the political spectrum but ordinary folks who love our families and our country, work hard to earn a living, perform our civic obligations, and exercise our religious beliefs at our places of worship. We profess high family values and are just as Godfearing and patriotic as our Republican fellow citizens.
It is obvious that Mr. Hagstrom and his champion, incumbent Congressman Eric Cantor, are alien to the grassroots fund raising efforts of the Democrat candidate, Ben Jones. Eric Cantor doesn’t have to spend his time visiting
