Plant propagation workshop
Would you like to be able to grow your own flowers, herbs and vegetables more professionally and easily? This workshop, for beginning and experienced gardeners, will show you many interesting plant propagation techniques: seed starting in containers, soil blocks and outdoor seedbeds: pre-germination treatment of seeds; making your own soil mixes; rooting cuttings without chemicals; layering; plus information on lights, heat mats, seed frames and other accessories, and more.

Family reunion planned
The Coppage and Woodard family reunion will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6 beginning at 11 a.m. at the Washington fire hall. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. Those attending should bring a covered dish and a beverage to share. For more information call Louise Woodard at 675-2041.
Conservation festival set
The Smithsonian National Zoo Conservation and Research Center’s sixth annual Autumn Conservation Festival will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The center is located on Route 522, two miles south of Front Royal. Advance ticket sales are $30 per car for up to six people. For more information call 635-6596.
Payne family to host reunion

Dancing series underway
A new tribal belly dancing series with Charmaine Lee is currently underway at the Washington Town HaH. There will be live drumming at certain classes. The classes will be each Wednesday through Oct. 30 except Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. The cost is $72 for the whole series of classes or $15 per class. Please bring a mat.
